Clean beds, crisp edges

Canterbury's free-draining soils grow oxalis, couch and onehunga just as happily as anything planted on purpose. Barnleigh 2000 hand-weeds beds properly — roots out, not tops snapped off — so the same weeds are not back in a fortnight.

Lawn edges are cut back where grass has crept into the beds and along paths, which alone makes a whole section look sharper. Where beds are chronic, a re-edge and fresh mulch line is suggested so the fix lasts longer than the visit.
